Living Room Makeover - Part 2

So, prior to this post you got to see how the living room went from this:

Already much better, no?  I am loving the color!

Now the fun really begins!  A few weeks ago, there was a Groupon for CanvasOnDemand.com and I snatched it up!

1.  If you are not already a Groupon subscriber, I highly recommend it! I saved $126 on these!!  Whooohooo!

2.  Picking one wedding picture out of 768 to put on said canvas took way longer than I thought it would.

Here's what we got!

This is actually one of our engagement pictures taken by my big brother!  Pretty cute!

Okay, I know... ewww!  Such a mushy picture!  But, this is one of my favorites of our wedding day.  We were walking through the downtown area on the way to the ceremony.  Catchlight Photography is amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking photography services in NorthWest Arkansas.

So these two amazing new canvas pieces will be going in the living room!  So excited about the house coming together.  The rest of the room isn't public ready yet, so you'll just have to wait and see how it turns out!

Settling In

This weekend was such a whirlwind!  This is the first time that Jeremiah and I have moved together.  I moved out of the first Washington apartment after he left for Iraq, and moved into our townhouse before he got home from Iraq.

Friday we had a "packing party" with our amazing friends Jamie & Greg.  They are packing ninjas!  I honestly do not know how I would have gotten everything done without them this weekend!  We had some vino and attacked the townhouse for hours.  I'm glad that we had a good time doing it, even though it's the first of the bad parts of moving.

One big plus of him being home:  big strong Army men to move all of the boxes from one side of the universe to the other.  Jeremiah pulled together some buddies and the whole townhouse was moved in a jiffy!

The new house was a hustle and bustle of activity all day yesterday!  The truck was unloaded so quickly with five guys unloading and two of us ladies directing traffic.  We even had some neighbors come by to say hello and welcome us!  Scott and Rebecca seem super sweet and I'm excited to be moving to a true neighborhood.  This town is such a huge improvement over the old one!  There are running trails through the woods and a cute little downtown area.  It reminds me a little bit of my hometown!

Right now we are working on unpacking and getting everything put into it's place.  There's a lot to do!  We are hoping to have a BBQ at the end of March and have everyone over!

Our New Home

It's official!  We are moving into our first house this weekend!  We are really, really excited!  Here are some pictures of our new digs..

We're having a "moving party" on Saturday, and the more the merrier!  You pitch in to help us get from the end of the universe to our new place, then you will be handsomely rewarded with cold beer and hot yummy pizza!  Give us a call if you're up for it!

House Hunting!

It is hard to believe sometimes that it has been a year since I returned to Washington after Officer School.  But here we are, nearing the end of our lease, and exploring rental houses in the area.  After looking into all of the different areas we had to choose from, we still had a lot to figure out.

This weekend we actually went on some walk throughs and I think we may have found "the one!"  It is right near base with plenty of room to grow into during the next few years.  The property manager is really helpful, and we're going to make some more progress towards signing the lease this week!  We are so excited to be moving into a real house, and making it our home!
